E - Series
Spectrum Illumination E-Series Bar Lights are used for both bright field and dark field illumination.
Our E-Series lights have a potentiometer for manual intensity adjustment. They have both a PNP or a NPN input for strobing the lights. The strobe inputs are pulse width controlled from an external device (usually a PLC, Industrial PC or Smart camera). Either input can be connected for the light to run in continuous mode.
E-Series lights have a 0-10VDC analog input for intensity control. The analog input is revolutionary because it works using reverse logic. 0VDC is 100% intensity and 10VDC is 0% intensity. An analog input signal is not required to achieve 100% light output.
E-Series lights run on standard 24VDC industrial power supplies.
E-Series lights incorporate our patent pending Micro Driver with burst. No external driver, overdrive controller or single purpose overdrive light is needed.
E-Series lights are configured with the highest output LED's available.
E-Series lights have an auto resetting circuit built in to protect the LEDs against damaging over temperature environments and situations (exceeding the burst duty cycle specifications).
E-Series lights are configured to overdrive the LEDs. The burst mode can be disabled by a dip switch. When either strobe input is enabled the burst circuit will overdrive the LEDs for 500 microseconds before dropping to a safe continuous current for the LEDs.
E-Series lights utilize Spectrum Illumination's new patent pending Aluminum Single Interface Housing. We have eliminated the extra enclosure components by forming the thermally conductive housing from the aluminum circuit board. The cost savings and performance benefits are the result of this revolutionary design.

LL - Monster Series
Spectrum Illumination Monster Series Linear Lights are used for both bright field and dark field illumination. Monster Series Linear Lights are built using Modular Board Technology (MBT). The reason that MBT is important is that when the boards are assembled in the housing, the LED spacing is the same on a single board as it is from board to board. The result of MBT is even illumination over the length of the light (connecting lights together create dead spots between lights because LED spacing is not observed). The Monster Series Linear Light was designed to be used for applications requiring a large area of coverage and/or a long working distance. Typically they are used in applications that demand a lot of light and can be mounted 12" (304.8mm) to 20' (6,096mm) from the desired area of interest. LED optics and diffuser options are also available on these lights that make it possible to obtain closer working distances and/or larger coverage areas. Every light is designed in a heavy duty industrial enclosure. Monster Series Linear Lights can be purchased in standard lengths starting at 2" (50.8mm) up to 80.5" (2,044.7mm) with longer lengths available upon request. Monster Linear Lights are supplied with our DIN rail mount 24 volt DC High Speed LDM (LED Driver Module) Adapter and a 4 meter 5 pin reverse keyed M12 Eurofast quick disconnect cable. The LDM Adapter has both PNP and NPN strobe inputs with a 3 microsecond response time and is also available with an optional variable potentiometer control or 0-10VDC analog control.

LA - Standard Series
Spectrum Illumination Linear Array Lights are used for both bright field and dark field illumination. The Linear Array Series was designed to be used for applications requiring the light to be close to the area of interest. All Linear Array Lights are built using Modular Board Technology (MBT). Because we use MBT we are able to make linear array lights in 1" (25.4mm) by 4" (101.6mm) incremental dimensions. The reason that MBT is important is that when the boards are assembled in the housing, the LED spacing is the same on a single board as it is from board to board. The result of MBT is even illumination over the length of the light (connecting lights together creates dead spots between lights because LED spacing is not observed). Every light is designed in a heavy duty industrial enclosure. Every Linear Array Light is built with 10 surface mount LED's per square inch so they produce bright even illumination. Linear Array Lights run on industry standard 24 volt DC power. Linear Array Lights also incorporate a high speed low current sourcing input for strobing the lights directly from a vision sensor or PLC output. The strobe line can be tied directly to 24 volt DC so the light remains on constant. All Linear Array Lights use industry standard 4 pin M12 Eurofast quick disconnect cables and are supplied with a 4 meter mating cable.

Monster Series Linear Light High Power Option
Monster Linear Lights are also available in a high output version (call for model part number). These Linear Lights are the brightest in the Machine Vision Industry. These lights are the standard for several prominent theme parks and they are used to replace Xenon Strobes for computer image manipulation. This version is housed in a heat sink extrusion and is protected against over-temperature with an automatic thermal overload cutout. This model can run continuous but we recommend a 50% duty cycle to extend the life of the LED's.
