RL - Monster Series
Spectrum Illumination Monster Series Ring Lights are used primarily for bright field illumination. The RL2.5 model can also be used as a spot light for both bright field and dark field applications. The Monster series Ring Light was designed to be used for applications requiring a large area of coverage and/or a long working distance. Typically they are used in applications that need a lot of light and can be mounted 12” (304.8mm) to 20’ (6096mm) from the desired area of interest. LED optics and diffuser options are also available on these lights which makes it possible to obtain closer working distances and/or large coverage areas. The Monster Series Ring Light can be purchased in standard diameters starting at 2.5” (63.5mm) up to 30.5” (774.7mm) Every light is designed in a heavy duty industrial enclosure. The Monster Series Ring Lights are supplied with our DIN rail mount 24VDC High Speed LDM (LED Driver Module) Adapter and 4 meter 5 pin reverse keyed M12 Eurofast quick disconnect cable. The LDM adapter has both PNP and NPN strobe inputs with a 3 microsecond response time and is also available with either variable potentiometer control or 0-10VDC analog control.

RLD3 - Monster Series with Integral Driver
Spectrum Illumination Monster Series Ring Light with Integral Driver can be used for both bright field and dark field illumination. The RLD3 was designed for use in applications that demand a substantial amount of light and can be mounted 6” (152.4mm) to 6’ (1828.8mm) from the area of interest. LED optics and diffuser options are also available on these lights that make it possible to obtain longer working distances and/or smaller coverage areas. The RLD3 is available in a 60mm x 68mm light pattern with a 35.5mm viewing port. Every light is designed in a heavy duty industrial enclosure. The RLD3 was designed to fit the PPT A10 or A20 image sensors. Spectrum Illumination is now making this light available to all of our distributors. The incorporated driver has all of the latest features that include Burst (2 millisecond duration high output pulse then drops to normal intensity), PNP and NPN strobe inputs, variable potentiometer control and 0-10VDC analog control (no need to connect voltage to analog input for full intensity). The RLD3 is supplied with a 4 meter 5 pin Eurofast quick disconnect cable.
RL4 - Standard Series
Spectrum Illumination Standard Series RL4 Ring Lights are used for bright field illumination. This light is available in many different versions for applications that do not require longer working distances. The RL4 is also available in a washdown FDA compliant harsh environment version and is rated to IP68 standards. The RL4 uses 84 LED’s and can be ordered in 660nm red, 880nm infrared or white LED’s. Every light is designed in a heavy duty industrial enclosure. The RL4 lights also incorporate a high
speed low current sourcing input for strobing the lights directly from a vision sensor or PLC output. The strobe line can be tied directly to 24VDC so the light remains on constant. All RL4 Ring Lights use industry standard 4 pin Eurofast quick disconnect cables and are supplied with a 4 meter mating cable.
RL70 - Standard Series
Spectrum Illumination Standard Series RL70 Ring Lights are used for bright field illumination. This light is available in many different versions for applications that do not require longer working distances. The RL70 uses 50 LED’s and can be ordered in 470nm blue, 630nm red, 880nm infrared or white LED’s. This light is designed for use in a Pelco light enclosure. The RL70 lights also incorporate a high speed low current strobing inputs, PNP or NPN, for strobing the lights directly from a vision sensor or PLC output. The PNP strobe line can be tied directly to 24VDC so the light remains on constant. The RL70 Ring Lights are sold with 16" flying leads.
Ring Light / Dark Field (RL/DF Series)
Spectrum Illumination Standard Series RL/DF Ring Lights are used for bright field and dark field applications. Dark field lights are used to illuminate edges and surface defects. The four arrays on the RL/DF Lights can be adjusted from 0-90 degrees so that edges and features are illuminated properly. Because the RL/DF Light is adjustable the end user has greater flexibility in respect to working distance than other non adjustable dark field lighting products. RL/DF Lights run on industry standard 24 volt DC power. RL/DF Lights also incorporate a high speed low current sourcing input for strobing the light directly from a vision sensor or PLC output. The strobe line can be tied directly to 24 volt DC so the light remains on constant. All RL/DF Lights use industry standard 4 pin M12 Eurofast quick disconnect cables and are supplied with a 4 meter mating cable.
